Workshops
- This year's workshops will be held across three sites. Please note that a maximum of 12 delegates will be able to attend each workshop. Registration for the workshops should be completed when registering for the conference. (The workshops will be allocated on a first come first served basis therefore delegates should list the workshops they wish to attend in order of preference). Delegates can register for the simulation workshops at Pinderfields General Hospital or two of the workshops at the Jury's Inn and Royal Armouries sites. Please register early to avoid disappointment.
Jury's Inn Hotel
This site will host the professional development workshops including:
- Management Skills and Leadership skills (See button below)
- Clinical Service Review and Commissioning in the NHS - What you need to know (See button below)
This site will also host a Uro-Radiology MDT. The faculty will include regional experts in urology and uro-radiology. Delegates will be have the opportunity to work through a series of cases covering the major urological malignancies (prostate, bladder, kidney, penile and testes), in an MDT format using state-of-the-art imaging techniques.
Royal Armouries
This site will host the robotic urology workshop run by Mr William Cross (Consultant Urological Surgeon, St James's University Hospital, Leeds). Delegates will have the opportunity to practice their laparoscopic skills using the Da Vinci system.
Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield
This site will host the simulation workshops run by Mr Shekhar Biyani (Consultant Urological Surgeon, Pinderfields General Hospital). Transport to and from the hotel will be provided. Delegates will have sessions on the endoscopic (Laser TURP/Ureteroscopy) and laparoscopic simulators. There will also be the opportunity for some delegates (ST5 and above) to practice reconstructive techniques using animal models. These workshops will last 4 hours therefore delegates will not be able to attend the other workshops.
